After receiving new trailers for our distribution fleet, Corcraft held a driver orientation on January 11, 2024, with International/Navistar.
International\Navistar representatives went over all the mechanical aspects of the new tractors and their features with Corcraft drivers. One major change to the new tractors is the shift from manual transmissions to automatic transmissions. The orientation helped our drivers understand how to operate the new transmissions as well as become accustomed to the various safety features, such as lane awareness sensors.
Corcraft now has a total of 23 tractor trailers. New tractors provide added safety for not only our drivers, but other drivers on the road.
The inclusion of trailers equipped with automatic transmissions could also broaden the pool of potential drivers interested in employment with Corcraft. This could attract individuals who may not have applied previously due to the requirement that drivers know how to drive a manual transmission.
